Roller Disco - Hindmarsh Rollodrome
Rollermania had become the rage in Australia in 1978. Built at a cost of $350,000 the rink was constructed on the old Europa Theatre site at 4 Milner Street, Hidmarsh which had been destroyed through fire. Thanks to Mark Watson and Graham Madder, the centre was at the forefront of Disco entertainment and was licensed to cater for over 900 patrons.

DeleteI recently caught up with some friends from over 30 years ago who were my roller skating buddies. What memories I have of a great time in my life. Hindmarsh Roller drome was my first skating rink before moving onto BaySkate Glenelg then Downtown. If I could turn back time this is the time I would go to. Fabulous rink, great music, the best spiders. My only wish is to have a proper skating rink now. I loved you Hindmarsh.
